The film "Doctor Zhivago" was definitely a powerful movie that helped bring the Russian Revolution to life. The Russian people disliked the unfair rulers called the czars. "Doctor Zhivago" depicted the Russian Revolution as a harsh battle between Bolsheviks and government. Because of the Russian Revolution, things were more fair in general. For the more wealthy, many of their belongings were taken away.
One example of this was when Yuri Zhivago returned home to Moscow. His belongings were taken away from him, there was less gas, and he couldn't even go outside to pick up a piece of wood to burn for heat. Everything was rationed. His ideas of communism were not so great when he returned home.

Causes Of WWI
World War 1 happened in 1914 and the reason this war begun because the countrys in europe wanted to be more powerfull then the rest they all wanted the most teritory so they could say that there country was the strongest the main two countrys in this war was england and germany.
Franz Ferdinand was the arch duke of Austri-Hungry he wasnt very popular with the citizens because he would make big dramatic changes that the people didnt like.On the 28th of June 1914 he went to visit Sarajevo and was killed by a man in the Black Hand called Gavrilo Princip. Franz Ferdinand was shot int the neck and his wife, Sophie- who was pregnant at the time- shot in the stomach
Militarism means that countries in Europe during this time period would grow their armies and make them as big and as powerful as they could to look intimidating so no one would want to declare war with them so basically they tried to make everyone afraid of them and all the countrys in europe were like this so noone would get intimidated by any country.

The White Mans Burden
Burden is a problem. The White Man's Burden is the problem the white men went through. The white men went through many problems on their trip to Asia. I agree with the articles because the Europeans went into Asia and tried to take everything over. They acted as if they already owned the country, they treated the Asians as if they were less important. The Europeans had the state of mind that they were superior to any type of race that was out there. The U.S. is still imperialistic because Bush sent out millions of troops out to Iraq in order to take over. The government lies to us and says that the only reason of the invasion is because of the oil.

The Scramble Of Africa
I think the true meaning of the title Scramble Of Africa means that many other countrys were debating on who should get africas land so thats what i think scramble of africa mean. The main countrys involved in this scramble were Britan,France,German,Portuguese,Italian,Belgian, and spanish, those were all the country who had part in african land. There are alot of reasons why these countrys tryed to take over africa one of the reasons is they thought that if they had the most land they would be most powerfull so everyone tryed to take over africa to have more power the country with most of africa was france with 36 percent of africa. They were able to dominate africa so easily because they werent as advanced as the other countrys even if the african people choose to fight back they would have no chance because they would have to fight against every country that was a part in the scramble of africa. And they didnt even have enough weapons to figth back.It effected the african people because they felt as if they werent in controll of there own country like they werent being treated right in there own country and i think if the african people had enoguhn people to defend what was theres they would have but since the europeans out numbered them by ALOT they didnt have a chaance to defend what what theres

The Meiji Restoration Of Japan
Japan liked to keep their people in their country and also Japan people tought that they were the best and they had the best culture. Also they thought that they were more advanced than any other culture but, when Matthew Perry show Japan new kind of technology in the ships and also the weapons were more powerful. All this new technology show Japan that what they thought was wrong. So they didn't like that because they were getting behind another cultures. Japan started to treat with Japan, a treat called treat which let American ships stay on Japan and also Japan people gave them food, water, and coul. But America had to give Japan some of the their technological ships. Japan also consider that modernization was necessary to their culture and Japan started to send people to America to see what was happening and to see if they can build the same thing and modernized them selves.
Mountains Of The Moon
Some of the hardships the european people faced were they had to look for the lost river that noone could find and they kept getting interupted by african tribes and they kept having to fight or trade to get on with there journey and alot of people died and the africans that helped the europeans kept running away and stole equipment and food and so they were limited men and suplies so thats what there hardshgip was like.I think its not fair that they named the river victoria because its in africa its not fair that they name it after the queen of england. I think that the only reason why they did it is because the african people werent very civilized and the europeans took advantage of that and kinda took over.Europe conquered africa so easily because africa had no weapons and all they had were non advanced weapons so basically they had no chance because the european people had weapons. And thats what this mopvie was like

Karl Marx Ideas of Industrial Revolution
Marx was born in 1818 in German in this place called Prussia. When Karl Marx was a young university student he always liked to drink in bars and to fight a lot but he still managed to study hard. Marx joined this group students who studied the German philosopher, Gerog Hegel. Hegel taught every important idea produces another idea that was the opposite.
Karl Marx was the one and only man who stared the first protest in the industrial revolution with the rich people of that century, that wants the people work double because they changed the clock and the employers did know how many time they work and that was better for the rich boss, Karl Marx was a good point in the industrial revolution and was an important leader for the employers and also was a good philosopher for the history.
